i need a bird cage big enough to house a white dove. it has to be able to fly around and rest on the bottom. but i don’t have the money to spend on a large cage that can cost 300-400 dollars. Where can i find one cheap? maybe $100?
Check out http://www.craigslist.org in your local area.
Look under farm + garden.
cage is 2` x 3` 5` tall have looked at Lowes and local hardware stores
http://www.calcages.com/
this is the california cage company website you should be able to find them there or contact them to get the replacement wheels.
i like the size of the cage i got now, it is an old tv unit, 2m,1.5m,1.5m, but it is too hard to clean, i am after a large wire cage,
other question i would like to ask:
can i use a large bird cage and convert it to a rat empire?
is there anything harmfull to look out for?
how do you make rat toys?
You could build a cage. They call them C&C cages and by using mesh grids so the rats cant get through you can make the cage as big as you want. It is also easy to clean. Search C&C cages on google and you will see plenty. They have plastic cardboard also known as coroplast on the bottom. Good luck.

The infestation of moths (1/4 inch long fluttery things) began about 4 weeks ago and steadily has increased. I believe it was in the 3 bags of various bird seeds that were near the large bird cage. How long does the seed need to be frozen to kill all stages of the moth/caterpillar/eggs?
Will it even work?
Thanks
I thought you had to freeze it to prevent it. I think once infested it’s trash! I wouldn’t feed my animal larvae. That’s just gross.
I had it happen to rice once. I threw that out & cleaned everything & froze what I could that wasn’t infested to prevent it.
