does anyone no if you can buy clips for birds cages?

i have a bird cage but the clips that keeps the top and botton togarther were plastic and broke icant find a shop that sells them any ideas

Zip ties work GREAT!! They are cheap too!! If you are talking about a large bird (parrot) use the largest ties you can find and zip it several times. Just cut off the remaining part. If its a smaller bird, parakeet/cockatiel etc, then you can get away with smaller zip ties and fewer of them.

You can use wooden pinch clothes pins. Whatever you do, DO NOT use bread ties or wire. They rust and pose a hazard to your bird. I’ve known them to cut birds wings and feet up. They can also cause lead poison to your bird after the wire rusts.

If you use wooden Pinch clothes pins, the bird can chew on them and no harm is done. But it sure holds the cage together well.

    Good Luck!

I had the same problem with my cage. I couldn’t find clips at a pet store either so I bought a cheap dog leash (try a dollar store), cut off the leash and used the clip to hold the cage together. Still works great!
